Human Solid Oral Dose Vaccine Delivery
The recent COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for high-capacity vaccine solutions. PlantPharm BioMed’s production technology can deliver on this need, transforming existing hypodermically injected vaccines to an oral solid dose vaccine with comparatively low production costs and high production scalability and flexibility.
Potential targets
Additional potential vaccines may address: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), Hepatitis B, HPV (Human Papilloma Virus), RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), Meningitis, Malaria, and many others.
The Breakthrough
Proven in a double-blind human clinical trial
PlantPharm BioMed’s process grew plants with the world’s first oral solid dose Hepatitis B vaccine, which was proven effective in a double-blind, placebo-based, human clinical trial. The ability to grow and deliver vaccines, and other biopharmaceuticals, using plants as the production medium has now become reality.
